Class sizes are small, instruction is tailored to the individual student's needs, foundation skills are emphasized and students support each other in class and at trials.  We strive to have a positive community atmosphere where both the human and dog students can grow and learn and become successful teams.

As agility training has progressed so has our appreciation of the need for a holistic approach to training performance dogs. Our training philosophy has evolved to include three areas:

  • Encouragement to have fun with your dog
  • Development of strong foundation skills sets for success and safety
  • Incorporation of complementary physical therapies


The corner stone of our training program is offering small sized classes. The small class size allows each student to receive the individual attention required to develop a strong foundation in the skills required for successful competitive agility. In addition the small class size allows us to create a fun, inclusive and supportive atmosphere which increases the drive and motivation of dogs and handlers alike. Agility is a physically demanding sport for our dogs and therefore they are prone to injury. The incorporation of physical therapies is important.  We offer canine massage, chiropractice and energy healing services at Agile Canines in order to help keep our dogs sound and healthy.
